Cameron LNG Sends Out First Commissioning Cargo; Receives Extension of Time to Complete Facilities
Today, Cameron LNG announced that the first commissioning cargo shipment of LNG departed from its Hackberry, La., liquefaction and export facility. Commercial operations will follow completion of performance testing and receipt of FERC authorization to commence service. Cameron LNG is jointly owned by affiliates of Sempra LNG, Total, Mitsui & Co., Ltd. and Japan LNG Investment, LLC, a company jointly owned by Mitsubishi Corporation and Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK).
Separately, FERC issued a letter granting Cameron LNG an extension of time until September 19, 2020 to complete construction of the project facilities and make them available for service.
