FERC Releases Draft EIS for Eagle LNG Partners Jacksonville Project

FERC Staff has released a draft environmental impact statement (“EIS”) for the Eagle LNG Partners Jacksonville Project (the “Jacksonville Project”), a proposed liquefaction facility on the north bank of the St. Johns River in Jacksonville, Fla. The proposed facility would consist of, among other things, three LNG production trains which could produce a total nominal capacity of about 1.0 million (metric) tonnes per year of LNG, one LNG storage tank and marine and truck loading terminal facilities. FERC concludes that approval of the Jacksonville Project would result in some limited adverse environmental impacts; however, these impacts would be reduced to less-than-significant levels with the implementation of Eagle LNG’s proposed mitigation and the additional measures recommended in the draft EIS.
