Supporters of Jordan Cove Energy Project File Comments with FERC
Comments recently were filed with FERC by various entities supporting approval of Jordan Cove Energy Project’s proposed LNG export terminal at Coos Bay, Ore. and the interconnected pipeline. Comments requesting approval of the project were filed by the Oregon AFL-CIO, Laramie Energy, Washington State Building & Construction Trades Council AFL-CIO, Avista Corporation, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 932, and Knife River Corporation. On March 11, 2016, FERC issued an order rejecting the application to construct the proposed export terminal feeder pipeline for lack of market support, and thereby rejecting the application to construct the LNG export terminal.
