FERC to Address Kenai LNG Issues This Week at Commission Meeting

At its monthly Commission meeting on May 21, FERC will address issues relating to its  January 15, 2009 determination that the Kenai LNG liquefaction facility in Alaska must comply with certain LNG terminal safety and reliability requirements. ConocoPhillips Alaska Natural Gas Corp and Marathon Oil Corporation, the joint owners and operators of the facility, had sought rehearing or clarification of the January 15 Order, which required the facility to file detailed safety, reliability and engineering information in order to be compliant with current regulations. FERC’s meeting agenda is available here.
