Local Utility to Withdraw Objection to Renewal of Kenai LNG’s Export License

The Anchorage Daily News reports that the Alaskan local utility Chugach Electric Association has agreed to a natural gas supply agreement with ConocoPhillips for gas extracted from the Cook Inlet. Under the terms of the agreement, Chugach will withdraw its petition for review of the U.S. Department of Energy’s reauthorization of the license permitting ConocoPhillips and Marathon Oil to export LNG from the Kenai liquefaction facility.
