New York Agencies Seek Judicial Review of FERC’s Approval of Broadwater LNG

The New York State Departments of State and Environmental Conservation have joined Suffolk County in petitioning the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit seeking judicial review of FERC’s approval of the Broadwater LNG project. The Times Review (Suffolk, N.Y.) reports that the petition claims that FERC violated the federal Coastal Zone Management Act, the Clean Water Act, and the Natural Gas Act when the agency issued its conditional approval of the project.
