Opponents of Rabaska LNG Proposal Request UNESCO Review

The United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has been asked by opponents of the proposed Rabaska LNG import facility to determine whether the Canadian and Quebec governments are sufficiently protecting Quebec City’s status as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The request follows the Canadian government’s approval of the Rabaska terminal slated for construction near the St. Lawrence River. Read more in the Globe and Mail.
