Freeport LNG Seek LNG Export Authorization from DOE

The developers of the Freeport LNG terminal have filed an “Application for Blanket Authorization to Export Liquefied Natural Gas on a Short-Term Basis,” available from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Fossil Energy. The application seeks authorization to export up to 24 Bcf of LNG on a cumulative basis over a two-year period and states that the facility will export previously imported LNG, not domestically produced natural gas.
