The developer of the Bradwood Landing LNG terminal, NorthernStar Natural Gas, along with some residents of Astoria, Ore., filed a motion in Clatsop County Circuit Court (Ore.) seeking a preliminary injunction to halt the processing of a petition for a ballot referendum. Last week, several organizations opposed to the Bradwood Landing LNG project submitted a petition to the Clatsop County Clerk seeking a referendum on the decision of the Clatsop County Board of Commissioners to approve the land-use application for the Bradwood Landing LNG project. According to the Daily Astorian, NorthernStar argues that land-use decisions are not subject to referendum.
