Opponents Remain Concerned Despite Modification to Weaver’s Cove LNG Proposal

Following last week’s announcement that Weaver’s Cove LNG is seeking to modify its LNG project proposal, the Boston Globe reports that opponents to the project continue to have public safety concerns. As proposed, the modified project would feature an offloading berth in Mount Hope Bay and a 4-mile pipeline that would transport the natural gas in liquid form up the Taunton River for onshore regasification or delivery via truck.
