The U.S. Coast Guard announced yesterday that it has denied a request for reconsideration filed by Weaver’s Cove Energy. Stating in his letter to Weaver’s Cove that he reviewed all appropriate documents, USCG Capt. Roy Nash wrote that he found “no substantive issue, nor new information, that would suggest my recommendation of unsuitability was incorrect or made without due consideration of the record.” A Weaver’s Cove spokesperson told South Coast Today that the company plans to appeal the decision.
