Appellate Court to Hear BP Case

After the 122nd District Court denied Nancy Saint-Paul’s motion for retrial last week, both she and the City of Galveston filed notices of appeal of the court’s February decision on whether sufficient public notice was given before two Galveston Wharves Board of Trustees meetings ratifying lease agreements for BP’s proposed Pelican Island LNG terminal. The trial judge held that notice was sufficient for the second of the two meetings, and BP says it will “continue to review our alternatives” with regard to the lease agreement ratified there.
