Cameron LNG Seeks 6-Year Extension to Construct Expansion Project

Cameron LNG has filed a letter with FERC seeking a 6-year extension of time, until May 5, 2026, to construct and place into service the Expansion Project at its Cameron and Calcasieu Parishes, La., liquefaction and LNG export terminal. The Expansion Project consists of liquefaction Trains 4 and 5 and appurtenant facilities, which will allow Cameron LNG to export an additional 515 Bcf per year from its existing LNG export terminal. FERC’s order authorizing the Expansion project set an in-service date for the facilities of May 5, 2020. Cameron LNG seeks the extension due to a change in upstream ownership of its joint venture partners.
