Commonwealth LNG, LLC (Commonwealth), has filed an application with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) requesting long-term, multi-contract authorization to export up to 441.4 Bcf/year of domestically produced LNG to Free Trade Agreement (FTA) countries, and to Non-Free Trade Agreement (Non-FTA) countries. Commonwealth requested authorization for: (i) a 25-year period for exports to FTA nations, and (ii) a 20-year period for exports to Non-FTA nations from its proposed liquefaction and export facility located in Cameron Parish, La.
