Elba Island Begins Commercial Operation

Platts reports that the relatively small (nameplate capacity approximately 33 MMcf/day) Elba Island liquefaction and export terminal near Savannah, Ga., has begun commercial operation. According to the report, the Elba Island facility is supported by a 20-year contract with Shell, which will take 100% of the liquefaction capacity of the terminal.
