Driftwood LNG Receives FERC Construction and DOE Export Authorizations

FERC has issued an order authorizing Driftwood LNG LLC (Driftwood LNG) and Driftwood Pipeline LLC to construct and operate a liquefaction and LNG export terminal near the city of Carlyss in Calcasieu Parish, La., consisting of, among other things, five liquefaction trains, marine terminal facilities, and an interconnected feeder gas pipeline. The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has issued an order authorizing Driftwood LNG to export, over a 20-year term, up to the equivalent 1,415.3 Bcf/yr of domestically produced LNG by vessel from the proposed Driftwood LNG terminal to nations without a Free Trade Agreement with the United States.
