Elba Island LNG Production Pushed Back to Q1 2019

Kinder Morgan has announced that the first of ten LNG production units at affiliate Southern LNG Company’s terminal at Elba Island, Georgia, is now expected to be placed in service in Q1 2019, with the remaining nine units expected to come online throughout 2019. The company had anticipated an initial in-service date of Q4 2018 for the first LNG production unit at the facility. The facility will have a total liquefaction capacity of approximately 2.5 million tonnes/year of LNG, equivalent to approximately 350 MMcf/day of natural gas.
