DOE Releases LNG Export Data through May 2017

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has released data on U.S. LNG exports and imports for the period January 2017 through May 2017. The data show that, during May, 18 cargoes of domestically produced LNG were shipped from Cheniere Energy’s Sabine Pass LNG terminal in Cameron Parish, La. Three cargoes were sent to both United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Mexico, two were sent to South Korea, and one to each of Argentina, Brazil, China, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, and Taiwan. Prices ranged from $3.61 to $6.61/MMBtu. Also, four cargoes of LNG in ISO containers were shipped in May by American LNG Marketing LLC to Barbados from Hialeah, Fla., at $10.00/MMBtu.
