Additional LNG Export Authority Sought for Lake Charles Terminal

Lake Charles Exports, LLC and Lake Charles LNG Export Company, LLC each have filed applications for authority to export an additional 121 Bcf/year of LNG from the proposed export terminal at Lake Charles, La (Lake Charles Terminal). The companies propose to export the LNG to Free Trade Agreement (FTA) countries for a period of 25 years and Non-FTA countries for a period of 20 years. Both companies currently are authorized to export to FTA and Non-FTA countries up to 730 Bcf/year of LNG from the Lake Charles Terminal. The companies’ applications seek to align the volumes authorized for export with the liquefaction production capacity of the Lake Charles Terminal as approved by FERC.
