U.S. LNG Supplies to be First Through Expanded Panama Canal

LNG World Shipping reports that the first large LNG carrier to pass through the expanded Panama Canal will be the Shell-chartered Maran Gas Apollonia carrying an LNG cargo loaded at Cheniere Energy’s Sabine Pass LNG terminal in Cameron Parish, La.  The cargo is expected to pass through the canal from the Atlantic to the Pacific oceans on Monday.  The destination of the cargo was not disclosed.
