FERC Releases Update on Review of Alaska LNG Application

FERC has released an update on its pre-filing environmental review of the proposed Alaska LNG project.  Currently, Alaska LNG is reviewing the comments from FERC and other agencies on its first set of draft resource reports (RRs), as well as comments received during scoping, and incorporating them into a second set of draft RRs. Alaska LNG anticipates filing the second set of draft RRs by mid-July 2016. The updated RRs will be reviewed by FERC and other agencies. Alaska LNG will incorporate any additional comments in its final RRs, which it will file with its formal application.  According to the update, Alaska LNG anticipates starting construction in late 2018 or early 2019, with a planned in-service date of 2025 or 2026.
