FERC Issues Project Update for Port Arthur LNG Export Terminal

FERC has released an update on its review of draft environmental reports submitted by Port Arthur LNG for its proposed liquefaction and LNG export terminal at Port Arthur, Texas and interconnected pipeline. FERC Staff is reviewing the reports and will provide comments to Port Arthur LNG in response. Port Arthur LNG will incorporate FERC’s comments in the environmental report submitted with its formal application for the project, anticipated to be filed June 2016. FERC then will prepare a draft environmental impact statement for the project, which will be made available for public comment.
