Canadian Energy Board Grants Two Long-Term LNG Export Licenses

Canada’s National Energy Board (NEB) has approved New Times Energy Ltd’s application for a license to export over 25 years up to 586 Bcf/year of LNG with an additional annual tolerance of 15 percent from a floating liquefaction and LNG export terminal facility it intends to build near Port of Prince Rupert, British Columbia.

The NEB also approved an application by AltaGas DCLNG General Partner Inc., on behalf of AltaGas DCLNG Lease Limited Partnership, for a license to export over 25 years up to 365 Bcf/year of LNG from a floating liquefaction and LNG export terminal facility it intends to build on Haisla Nation land approximately 8 kilometers west of Kitimat, British Columbia.
