The Douglas Channel LNG Consortium, comprised of AltaGas Idemitsu Joint Venture Limited Partnership, EDF Trading Limited and EXMAR NV, announced that as a result of the Plan of Arrangement completed under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act, it now has full ownership and control of the proposed Douglas Channel LNG barge-based export terminal facility near Kitimat, British Columbia. A final investment decision for the small-scale facility (LNG production capacity of 0.55 million tonnes per year) is expected in the fourth quarter of 2015, and LNG exports are targeted to begin in 2018.
