Downeast LNG (Downeast) has requested that FERC initiate the pre-filing environmental review process for an LNG export terminal. Downeast states that it proposes to convert its pending FERC application for an LNG import terminal and sendout pipeline into a bidirectional import-export LNG terminal and pipeline due to changed market conditions for LNG imports into the United States. Downeast anticipates an in-service date of approximately March 2019 for its import-export project.
