Senate Bill Would Provide for Automatic Approval of LNG Exports to Ukraine, Japan, and NATO Countries

The Energy Security Act, introduced by Senators John Hoeven (R-ND), John Barrasso (R-WY), and Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), would require the U.S. Department of Energy to automatically approve applications to export LNG to Ukraine, Japan, and NATO member countries, similar to current law that provides for automatic approval of gas exports to countries with which the United States has a free trade agreement providing for national treatment for trade in natural gas.  Read more in the press release.
