The Business Council of British Columbia (B.C.) recently released a report on B.C. Energy Policy recommending, among other things, that the province take the following steps to accelerate natural gas and LNG development: (1) work with key stakeholders to formulate and release publicly a document on guiding principles for LNG development; (2) support the creation of a Ministry of Natural Gas Development to engage with proponents and the entire supply chain; and (3) ensure coordination between electricity demands through the entire natural gas value chain on the part of BC Hydro and provincial officials responsible for policy oversight.
