Veresen Applies for NEB Gas Export License for Jordan Cove LNG Export Supplies

Veresen Inc. (Veresen) announced today that it has filed an application with the National Energy Board (NEB) for a long-term license to export natural gas from Canada to the United States to supply Veresen’s proposed Jordan Cove LNG export terminal at Coos Bay, Ore. According to the press release, the NEB application requests an export volume of 1.55 Bcf/day for 25 years, translating into 9 million tonnes/year of export capacity from the Jordan Cove terminal. To reach the Jordan Cove facility, western Canadian natural gas will travel via existing pipeline to an interconnection with the proposed Pacific Connector Gas Pipeline at Malin, Ore., and then on to the Jordan Cove terminal.
