Canadian and Japanese Prime Ministers Discuss LNG Supplies

Global Post reports that at a meeting in Ottawa this week Canadian Prime Minister Harper and Japanese Prime Minister Abe discussed Canada’s potential to supply LNG to Japan. According to the report, Abe stated at a press conference with Harper that “[w]ith a view to securing a stable supply of LNG (liquefied natural gas) at a competitive price, we look to the progress of the ministerial level consultations.” No further details on the topic were provided.
