Exxon Affiliate Files for National Energy Board (Canada) LNG Export License

WCC LNG Ltd., a subsidiary of ExxonMobil Canada Ltd., and Imperial Oil Resources Limited have applied to Canada’s National Energy Board for a license to export up to 30 million tonnes of LNG (1,461 Bcf) per year over 25 years from a proposed LNG export terminal to be located in the vicinity of either Kitimat or Prince Rupert, British Columbia. The project could consist of up to six liquefaction trains, with commissioning of the initial trains and the first export of LNG anticipated to occur between 2021 and 2023.
