DOE to Approve More LNG Export Applications by Year’s End

U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Moniz told the U.S. House Energy and Power Subcommittee yesterday that he expects DOE to approve more applications to export LNG to nations without a Free Trade Agreement with the U.S. before the year’s end. In his written testimony, Moniz stated that DOE “will expeditiously work through the remaining [LNG export] applications, reviewing each one on a case-by-case basis to ensure that all approvals are in the public interest.” Read more in the press release.
