ConocoPhillips Not Planning to Renew Alaska LNG Export Authority

Bloomberg reports that ConocoPhillips, citing lack of gas supplies, is not planning to renew its U.S. Department of Energy authority to export LNG from its Kenai, Alaska liquefaction plant to foreign countries not having a Free Trade Agreement with the United States. During 2012, ConocoPhillips shipped four LNG cargoes to Japan.
