Alaska LNG Project Concept Revealed

On Friday, executives from BP Exploration Alaska, ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc., ExxonMobil Production Company, and TransCanada submitted a letter to Alaska Governor Sean Parnell outlining the concept for an Alaska LNG project and related pipeline. The concept includes a 42-inch 800-mile pipeline, a gas treatment plant to be located on the North Slope near Prudhoe Bay, an LNG liquefaction plant capable of producing 15-18 million tons per year from three liquefaction trains, and storage and loading facilities.
