Congressman Markey Calls on DOE to Re-run LNG Export Report

U.S. Congressman Ed Markey (D-MA) sent a letter to U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Chu calling DOE’s recent report on the macroeconomic effects of LNG exports fundamentally flawed since it is based on outdated data and could underestimate the increase in domestic gas prices to American consumers from additional LNG exports. The letter requests that DOE re-run and re-analyze the study model using updated data. Markey’s letter and press release can be found here.
