Cook Inlet Producer Agrees Not to Export LNG Until Local Needs Are Met

The Alaska Journal of Commerce reports that Hilcorp Energy has agreed not to sell gas into the LNG export market until Cook Inlet, Alaska’s utility needs are met. Hilcorp also agreed to cap the price of gas sold to local utilities and industrial consumers to address regulators’ concerns with Hilcorp’s pending acquisition of Marathon Oil Company’s Alaska assets.
