Forecast Includes Power Needs of Two Kitimat LNG Terminals

BC Hydro has included in its Integrated Resource Plan the electricity needs of two LNG export terminals proposed to be built near Kitimat, British Columbia. The Plan’s forecasts of future demand include the expected power needs of the Douglas Channel and Kitimat LNG projects, which have received government approvals.  The Plan does not include the potential energy demand of other future LNG terminals, including Shell’s LNG Canada project, which was recently announced. Read more in the Globe and Mail article.
