Senator Wyden Voices Opposition to LNG Exports; Favors Increased State Regulatory Role

The Daily Astorian reported yesterday that at a town meeting U.S. Senator Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) expressed his opposition to West Coast LNG export terminals, stating that exports of natural gas would drive up domestic energy prices and undermine U.S. energy independence efforts.  According to the article, Wyden also stated that he favors increased state and reduced FERC roles in the LNG terminal regulatory review process.
