Company Applies for LNG Export Authorization from New-Build Liquefaction Facility in Texas

Gulf Coast LNG Export LLC has applied for authorization from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to export up to 2.8 Bcf/d of LNG to both FTA and non-FTA countries from a new LNG liquefaction terminal in Brownsville, Texas. The application, available under Docket No. 12-05-LNG from DOE’s Office of Fossil Energy, requests export authorization for a 25-year term. The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review offers additional coverage.
