Oregon LNG Backers Hope to Secure Required Authorizations for Construction Within Next Year

In its annual report to shareholders, the chairman of Leucadia National Corp., the company funding the Oregon LNG import terminal and associated pipeline project, said in a letter that “[t]he import and export of LNG has a role to play within [the global energy] market.” The letter goes on to say that the company will fund the Oregon LNG venture for another year, “within which timeframe we hope to cross the finish line.” The Daily Astorian offers additional coverage.
