LNG Vessel Concerns Prompt Town Council to Comment on USCG Rulemaking

According to the Jamestown Press, the Jamestown, R.I., Town Council voted earlier this week to submit a public comment on the U.S. Coast Guard’s rulemaking proposal to establish an anchorage south of Brenton Point, R.I. Noting that the Federal Register notice of the proposed anchorage does not indicate if the anchorage will be used by LNG vessels associated with the planned Weaver’s Cove LNG project, the Council voted to submit a public comment raising this issue.
