Cheniere Marketing Describes Break-Even Prices for U.S. LNG Exports

Speaking at a Platts conference, Cheniere Marketing President H. Davis Thames said that, assuming a West Texas Intermediate oil price of $90 per barrel, the Henry Hub natural gas price would have to be at least $6.73 per MMBtu for profitable U.S. LNG exports to Europe and $8.20 per MMBtu for profitable exports to Asia. Maine Grants Calais LNG More Time for Financing Negotiations

Maine’s Board of Environmental Protection has granted an extension of time to Calais LNG to allow the company to secure additional financing. Calais LNG now has until December 1, 2010, to file its completed application. Read more in the Bangor Daily News.
