Southern LNG Applies to Load LNG on Trucks at Elba Island Facility

On August 4, 2010, Southern LNG submitted an application to FERC to load LNG on trucks for regional distribution. The application contemplates reactivating the truck loading facilities at the Elba Island LNG terminal and beginning operations in November 2012. The filing notes that eight to ten tanker trucks will be loaded per day, which could expand to nearly 60 tanker trucks per day over the next decade. The application is available in the FERC eLibrary under Docket No. CP10-477, and the Savannah Morning News offers additional coverage.
