Port Commission, Oregon LNG Settle Dispute Over Site Lease Contract

Last week the Port of Astoria Commission approved an agreement settling the dispute between the Port and Oregon LNG over the lease for the site for the proposed regasification terminal. The Daily Astorian describes the terms of the settlement and notes that the commissioners agreed to the settlement as long as they are not held personally liable for violations of the agreement.

Separately, the staff for Clatsop County has recommended that the land use application for the Oregon Pipeline project, associated with the Oregon LNG import project, be denied by the county-appointed hearings officer. The staff cited unclear construction processes and incomplete environmental impacts analysis. Find further information in the Daily Astorian.
