Kenai LNG Backers Seek Extension to Export Volumes Approved in 2008

Earlier this month ConocoPhillips and Marathon Oil, the two owners of the Kenai LNG liquefaction facility, filed an application seeking an additional two years to export volumes approved in 2008 for shipment from 2009 to 2011. The Anchorage Daily News reports that the companies are seeking an extension of time to March 2013, citing the use of a single tanker and global market conditions.
