Two op-ed pieces carried by the Herald News (Fall River, Mass.) this week present arguments against the planned Weaver’s Cove LNG project. The first, authored by a member of the LNG Working Group, suggests that the numerous setbacks faced by the Weaver’s Cove LNG project coupled with anticipated shale gas volumes in the Northeastern United States should convince project developers that they ought to withdraw the project. The second op-ed, written by a regular columnist in the Herald News, opines that “in the court of public opinion, Weaver’s Cove has already lost its case.”
