Responding to a previous op-ed piece, Bill Cooper, President of the Center for Liquefied Natural Gas, writes in today’s Boston Globe that “[t]he security regime surrounding LNG shipments is the most robust of any cargo imported into the United States.” Cooper asserts that the proposed deliveries of LNG to the Everett LNG facility sourced from Yemen will undergo stringent security screenings before the LNG vessels arrive in U.S. waters.
