FERC Announces Visit to Freeport LNG Site
Yesterday FERC announced that it will visit the Freeport LNG terminal site in Brazoria County, Texas, on November 18, 2009, to examine sites referenced in the terminal’s Emergency Response Plan. Commission staff also will view the planned site of the natural gas liquids transfer meter station. Find the announcement in the FERC eLibrary under Docket No. CP03-75.
Separately, yesterday FERC sent a request for environmental information to Freeport LNG. The request is comprised of 61 questions covering a range of topics including construction and testing methods, explanations for certain design choices, and safety systems. The request for information , which seeks responses from the company by November 30, 2009, is available in the FERC elibrary under Docket No. CP03-75.
