Yesterday El Paso Corporation, the parent company of Southern LNG, the owner and operator of the Elba Island LNG terminal in Savannah, Ga., told WSAV News that the company plans to trim 300 positions company-wide. An El Paso spokesperson did not confirm how many positions at the Elba Island LNG facility would be cut, but noted that the staffing adjustment would have minimal effect on the facility and that safety would not be compromised.
