Analysts: More U.S. LNG Exports Unlikely

Industry analysts have told Reuters that they believe it is not likely that the United States will export significant additional quantities of LNG in the coming years despite forecasts that U.S. gas supply will outpace domestic demand. The analysts cited the relatively higher costs of producing gas in the United States, logistical challenges of aggregating gas from disparate shale plays for export, and potential political obstacles.
