Dominion Responds to WGL’s Comments on Cove Point Pier Reinforcement Project
On Friday Dominion Cove Point LNG, LP filed a response to Washington Gas Light Co.’s comments regarding FERC Staff’s Environmental Assessment of the Pier Reinforcement Project. In its response, Dominion Cove Point addresses WGL’s assertion that the ability to accept larger LNG carriers will necessarily lead to increased volumes of imported regasified LNG flowing on WGL’s distribution system. Challenging WGL’s arguments as “simplistic [and] flawed,” Dominion Cove Point notes that “any levels of LNG imported at Cove Point after the Pier Reinforcement Project is complete will be within existing, authorized levels” and will comply with the existing detailed tariff specifications.
